310th Mission Support Group

The 310th Mission Support Group was activated on March 7, 2008 to support the 310th Space Group's conversion to a full Wing. The main body of the 310th MSG is located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado while the 710th SFS and a small geographically separated Military Personnel Annex operate at Buckley SFB, Colorado.

MISSION: Provide support to all units of the 310th Space Wing.

ORGANIZATION: The group is composed of three squadrons.

310th Force Support Squadron at Schriever SFB, Colorado, provides force support services and capabilities to the 310th Space Wing population.

The 710th Security Forces Squadron at Buckley SFB, Colorado, and 310th Security Forces Squadron, at Schriever SFB, Colorado, both provide critical security for U.S. Space Command ground segment assets worldwide. They also augment USAF security forces units worldwide during periods of increased operations tempo.

History: The 310th Mission Support Group gains it manning, mission and heritage from the 926th Mission Support Group from New Orleans, Louisiana, which was deactivated through a combination of Base Realignment and Closure following the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.
