SCHRIEVER SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. -- U.S. Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sgt. Scott Stalker, the command senior enlisted leader of U.S. Space Command, met with the 310th Space Wing space warfighters on Feb. 5 during the wing’s monthly Unit Training Assembly at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado.
The CSEL visited to learn more about 310th SW operations and thanked them for their contributions to the space mission.
“The Reserve Citizen Airmen at the 310th Space Wing provide tremendous capabilities to our team,” said Stalker, “Truly an all-star lineup of traditional reserve members bringing in expertise from their civilian jobs in the cyber, tech and space industries.”
The 310th Space Wing provides specialized expertise and continuity as these traditional members often serve in units longer than their active duty counterparts. The wing offers a ready pool of personnel who can augment all aspects of intelligence, planning and operations.
“I encourage leaders at all levels to spend a few hours during ‘off time’ to meet these professionals during their on-duty drill weekends,” Stalker said. “It is important for us to see firsthand how much they bring to the table.”
The 310th SW delivers a diverse set of capabilities such as space domain awareness, missile warning intelligence, environmental intelligence and a host of other space base services. These services enable U.S. Space Command to execute global space operations in order to deliver space capabilities to combatant commanders, allied forces and the nation.
The 310th Space Wing is headquartered at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. Its units are assigned to Schriever, Peterson and Buckley Space Force Bases in Colorado, and Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
