The 14th Test Squadron, the only space test squadron in the Air Force Reserve, is located at Schriever Air Force Base, Colo.

Vision Statement
A fully integrated partner, providing continuity of vital test expertise in support of Air Force space systems testing

Mission Statement
Enhance Air Force Space Command's and Air Combat Command's support to the warfighter through testing and evaluation of space forces.

Parent Unit: 310th Space Wing

The 14th Test Squadron enhances Air Force Space Command's (AFSPC) and Air Combat Command's (ACC) warfighting capabilities through testing and evaluation of space systems. The 14th Test Squadron is a Reserve Associate Unit (RAU) to the 17th Test Squadron and provides short term manpower surge capabilities along with long term test continuity. The 14th Test Squadron is a fully integrated operational testing partner within the USAF Warfare Center and 53d Wing providing vital Information Assurance and space Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) expertise. The squadron is composed of four innovative flights:

The Test Operations Flight (TOF) provides a scoped, low cost and agile OT&E resource for AFSPC and ACC systems. The flight specializes in rapid system delivery to the warfighter supporting non-traditional and traditional acquisition program testing. The TOF conducts OT&E events with little to zero funding from the MAJCOM. Test results provide senior AFSPC and ACC decision makers a measure of system effectiveness and suitability.

The Information Assurance and Cyber Security Flights (IAF/CSF) provides world-class System Vulnerability Assessments, including Penetration Testing capabilities to AFSPC and ACC weapon systems. The flights are composed of hand-selected, highly trained Certified Ethical Hackers (CEH) complying with DoD Directive 8570. All team members exercise their skills on a daily basis through employment with commercial industry or the Department of Defense.

Technical Advisory Flight (TEA) ensures a consistent and sound technical approach for all OT. This includes maintaining the integrity of the analysis process and developing and maintaining an Information Assurance testing strategy. TEA interfaces with the 17th Test Squadron technical advisors, analysts and all the other flights to maintain validity and consistency in test processes and analytical methods.

Training, Weapons and Tactics Element enhances squadron operations by establishing squadron training standards; managing Unit Training, supplemental training, and ancillary training; and managing Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) education (if required). The element also serves as the squadron focal point for interaction with the AFSPC TTP development program.

Unit History
On Oct 1, 2000, Air Force Reserve Command activated the 14th Test Squadron as a Reserve associate unit to the 17th Test Squadron.

On Oct 1, 2008, the 14th Test Squadron realigned squadron assets to pursue innovative OT&E mission support.

As of Feb 1, 2014, the 14th Test Squadron has actively participated in 61 operational tests supporting Army and AFSPC systems.
