The squadron is composed of three flights that provide OT&E support to Air Force Space Command.
Weapons and Surveillance Flight at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Colo., provides critical expertise for the testing of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment system. This system provides critical, real-time threat information to the National Command Authority and directly supports the NORAD/USNORTHCOM Homeland Defense mission.
Information Assurance flight at Schriever Air Force Base, Colo. provides a self-contained, organic information assurance assessment capability for Air Force Space Command space systems. This flight utilizes integrated IA cells consisting of networking, operating systems, database systems, and IA controls personnel to assess space system vulnerabilities.
Evaluation and Assessment Flight at Schriever Air Force Base provides a new capability for the 14TS supporting rapid system delivery to the warfighter. This flight utilizes tailored risk management, test scope and scale to a non-traditional space acquisition program. The process will support a more rapid delivery of space assets to the warfighter in the field.

Unit History
On Oct. 1, 2000, Air Force Reserve Command activated the 14TS under the 310th Space Group to serve as the associate unit to the 17TS. As a Reserve associate unit within the Space Innovation and Development Center, the 14TS conducts operational test evaluations and assessments for Air Force Space Command systems.
