Chief Master Sergeant CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT JOSHUA I. FRANCOIS

Chief Master Sgt. Joshua I. Francois is the Command Chief of the 310th Space Wing, Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. He advises the commander on all matters relating to readiness, training, professional development, force utilization, operations tempo, health, morale, welfare and leadership of the enlisted members of the wing. He serves as the functional manager to the first sergeants within the wing and serves as the commander’s representative on councils, boards, and selected events within the military and civilian communities.

Chief Francois enlisted in the Air Force in January 2001 and graduated from the Satellite and Wideband Communications Apprenticeship course later that year. He spent 13 years in the regular component with numerous assignments in the expeditionary communications mission set. In 2014, he transitioned from active duty and continued his career as an Air Force Reservist. Throughout his career, he has served in several leadership roles at the squadron, group and wing–level leading Airmen conducting expeditionary communications, space control, electronic warfare, space–based missile warning, battlespace awareness, and combat training missions. He has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM as well as other contingency operations supporting United States European Command, Central Command, and Indo– Pacific Command. Prior to his current position, Chief Francois was the Senior Enlisted Leader, 710th Operations Group, Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado.
