Colonel Dean D. Sniegowski is the commander of the 310th Space Wing, Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado. The unit is the only space wing in Air Force Reserve Command. He directs the operations and staff activities of over 990 military personnel at 16 units and three direct reporting units. The missions of these units range from space operations, network security, command and control of space forces, missile warning, medical and mission support. The wing is also responsible for providing support to Air Force Space Command's security forces missions and professional development at the National Security Space Institute. Collectively the units support Combatant Commanders world-wide on a daily basis.

Colonel Sniegowski entered the Air Force in 1995 after commissioning through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training program. He has been qualified as a Deputy Crew Commander for the Peacekeeper ICBM and Navigator and Radar Navigator on the B-52 Stratofortress. He has served as a Flight Commander, Electric Warfare Officer, Plans Flight Commander, Chief of Deployment and Training, Assistant Director of Operations, Director of Operations and Squadron Commander.

Colonel Sniegowski is a Navigator with more than 1,100 flying hours, including 17 combat sorties in the B-52 in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
