Cyberspace Defense Analyst job opening
The 14 Air Force Cyberspace Defense Correlation Cell located at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado, is looking for talented Cyber Operators to support an exciting and challenging mission: Defending the cyberspace domain enabling all Air Force Space Command mission systems. Ideal candidates will have:
Extensive knowledge of a full range of cyberspace defense and cybersecurity principles, concepts, practices, products, services, and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerabilities, implementing mitigation measures, and operating cyberspace defense tools. Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies. Demonstrated skill and ability in developing and deploying signatures, detecting host and network based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies, performing packet-level analysis, determining how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect theses outcomes. Demonstrated skill and ability in identifying, capturing, containing, and reporting malware. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to develop and conduct training for supported DCO crews involving Analysis and Incident Response. Candidates must have or be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI/SSBI security clearance to be considered for this position. Relocation expense may be paid. Shift work is a requirement of the position.

School physicals

Community College of the Air Force Graduation
The Community College of the Air Force graduation is scheduled for June 18 at 9 a.m. in the Building 210 courtyard June 18 at 9 a.m. There will be a reception in the Building 210 atrium following the ceremony.
Running trail repairs
The running trail, located north of the fitness center, is under repair until June 28. The 50th Civil Engineer Squadron is conducting the repairs due to damage caused by erosion. During these repairs, portions of the running trail will be closed for safety purposes. Closed areas will be identified with cones and signs. We ask all users comply with closures to help ensure personal safety. Questions can be directed to Mike Rosseau at 567-5092.
Schriever Choir: Orbital Harmony Auditions
The Schriever Air Force Base Choir performance group, Orbital Harmony, will conduct auditions to fill vacant spots for the Spring and Summer 2019 performance season. All positions are currently open (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). Any experience level is welcome. Auditions will be conducted by appointment in the Building 210 Chapel Office. New Civilian Personnel Hours
The Civilian Personnel Office has changed customer service hours. The new hours are 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The office will be open 1 – 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Legal Office Weekly Briefings
The 50th Space Wing Legal Office provides the following briefings Fridays:

Off-base
Grilling Safety
- Use outdoors only, away from home, deck or overhanging branches. Keep children and pets away.
- Keep your grill clean by removing grease buildup from grills or trays below… never leave unattended.
- Propane grill: Check for tight connection on tank hose or regulator; check for leaks with soap/water solution.
- Charcoal grill: Use chimney starters or charcoal fluid… never add fluid or other flammable liquids to fire.
- Gas grill: If flame goes out, turn grill and gas off. Wait at least 5 minutes before re-lighting.
- Allow adequate time for hot coals to cool or soak with water prior to disposal.
Military Retirees Activities Office

The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse’s rank. Registration for the 2019 FA40 Training Forum is open
The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command’s Army Space Personnel Development Office is scheduled to host the 2019 Annual FA40 Training Forum Aug. 13 - 16 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.
This year’s forum will take place in the main conference room of Building 920, where TS-SCI briefings are scheduled.
Registration is open to all members of the Army Space Cadre.
The registration process is not complete without submission of a TS-SCI Visit Access Request, by the member’s organizational special security officer unless he/she possesses a current PAFB/SMDC green badge. VAR information is located on the registration page.
