Tree Lighting
The annual tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 5 outside of Bldg. 210.
Annual Children’s Holiday Fest: Dec. 7, Volunteers Needed
The 50th Force Support Squadron is looking for volunteers for the annual Children’s Holiday Fest at the fitness center 8 a.m.-4 p.m, Dec. 7. There are four different time slots available:
- Set-up crew: 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Set-up crew: 8-10 a.m.
- Event volunteers: 9:15 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Tear down crew: 2-4 p.m.
Volunteers must clear the date and time with supervisors. For more information, contact Eric McCullough at 567-2525.
Single Airman Initiative Program: Doe Antelope Hunt: Dec. 7-8
Single Airmen Initiative trips are free for any single Schriever officer or enlisted member. Participants must have their own registered weapon and be willing to purchase a hunting license once they are approved to attend. To register or for more information, please email seth.cannello@us.af.mil.

Fuel sales unavailable starting Dec. 16
Repairs to the Schriever AFB Shoppette fuel dispensers and distribution lines will begin Dec. 16, and are expected to last 12 weeks. During this period, the Shoppette will remain open and accessible during normal business hours; however, fuel sales will not be available.
50th Logistics Readiness Flight Closures
The 50th Logistics Readiness Flight will close 7 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Dec. 6 for unit approved events. For more information, contact David Collins at 567-3365 or Terrence Galloway at 567-7212.
Holidays for Ellicott, Angel Tree for Schriever Airmen
Schriever personnel can sponsor children from the Ellicott School District by picking up one angel, bell or candy cane hanging on trees in the Building 210 Atrium and the base dining facility through Dec. 9. Gifts can be dropped off at both Chaplain's Office locations, Building 210 Room 270, and Building 300 Room 149 from Dec. 10-12, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. For questions, contact the Chaplains office at 567-3705.
Staff and Family Tour: Dec. 20
Schriever Air Force Base personnel and their family members are invited on a Staff and Family Tour 11:45 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dec. 20. All tour stops are inside the restricted area. Space is limited. Children are welcome, however, strollers cannot be accommodated. The deadline to sign up is Dec. 16. For those 17 and younger, we need first and last name along with their age. Please be prepared to provide the following information for all guests 18 or older who do not have access to the RA/base:
- Name (as it appears on their driver’s license)
- Date of birth
- Drivers license number
- State of issue

Knowledge Management Center Provides Training
The Knowledge Management Center provides recurring classes for knowledge management programs. The following classes are offered the first and third Thursday of the month in Building 301, Room 119:
- Records Management: 12-1:30 p.m.
- Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act: 1:45-3:15 p.m.
- Publications and Forms class: 1-3 p.m. (every third Thursday of the month)

Heartbeat
Heartbeat was organized to help survivors absorb the impact of self-inflicted death, to offer the comfort of empathetic understanding and acceptance, and to support each other through healthy grief management. Meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday of the month, starting with Dec. 17, 5 p.m. at the event center. Honor veteran graves: Dec. 14
The Evergreen Cemetery Benevolent Society will help the Evergreen Cemetery remember and honor veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes at 10 a.m., Dec. 14. The North American Aerospace Defense Command Tracks Santa call center is located at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs and will operate 4 a.m. to midnight Dec. 24. Military Retirees Activities Office
The Military Retiree Activity Office hosts a monthly meeting for all military retirees and their spouses on the second Thursday of every month at 11:30 a.m. The next meeting will be held at the Peterson Air Force Base Club. The guest speaker will be Roxanne Eflin, who will present information on the new Choose Home Initiative national pilot program providing volunteer in-home companionship to senior veterans in need. The Society of Military Widows
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse’s rank. Falcon 50: Apr. 25, 2020
The United States Air Force Academy is scheduled to host the Falcon 50, an event consisting of four different races: the Military Heavy (a 26.2-mile run with a 35-lb ruck), a half marathon, a marathon, and a 50-mile run. Participants must register by April 20, 2020 by searching “Falcon 50” on www.UltraSignup.com. Questions about the races can also be answered on the website.
