Security Forces Have New Commander Published July 23, 2009 By Capt. Maren P. Barney 310th Space Wing Public Affairs SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Maj. Marcus J. Corbett assumed command of the 310th Security Forces Squadron in a ceremony July 12 at Schriever Air Force Base, Colo. The primary mission of the 310th SFS is to provide worldwide physical security and force protection support for the terrestrial elements of Air Force Space Command's space systems. The squadron also provides trained and equipped security forces personnel for deployments in support of contingencies and wartime requirements. Maj. Corbett graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1998 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in legal studies. Maj. Corbett is filling the position left vacant by previous 310 SFS commander, Lt. Col. Robert L. Haughey, who retired in January.
