The Lance P. Sijan Chapter of the Air Force Association, with support from Air Force Space Command, will host the 2015 Air Force Ball. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7:00 PM in the Broadmoor Hall. Our entertainment for the evening will be provided by the United States Air Force Academy Band Blue Steel. We will conclude the evening with dancing immediately following dinner.
The Lance P. Sijan chapter of the Air Force Association organizes and hosts the Air Force Ball each year to provide a wonderful social event for the Air Force community of the Front Range. The Ball is not a fundraiser and any profits from the event are given back to the Air Force community in many ways, from scholarships to supporting unit awards programs. We hold the event at the world class Broadmoor because it is the most elegant venue in town and can accommodate the number of guests the Ball attracts. None of the individual ticket prices cover the actual cost of the evening. Generous corporate sponsorships and corporate table sales subsidize the ticket prices to make this event affordable for all. Only a non-profit organization like the Air Force Association can solicit those contributions, which we are pleased to do, because it enables us to offer a fine evening to the Reserve, Guard, Active Duty and Civilian Air Force members along the Front Range.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception, followed by an exceptional dinner and then dancing. We are pleased to have Blue Steel providing entertainment during dinner. The Lance P. Sijan chapter established the General Jerome F. O'Malley Distinguished Space Leadership Award to recognize the contributions of Space leaders. General O'Malley provided the leadership that ultimately resulted in the creation of today's Air Force Space Command, on October 1, 1982. Come to the Ball to find out this year's winner!
