To the men and women of Air Force Space Command,

As my last message to you as AFSPC commander, I wanted to let you know how much you mean to Laura and me.  We are humbled and proud to have served with you for the last four years, first as your vice commander, and finally as your commander.  Over that time, we accomplished a lot and moved the ball forward in so many ways. To all the AFSPC Airmen and families alike -- thank you for your continued service in support of our great nation.

As we transition to Omaha, it is truly my pleasure to leave AFSPC in the tremendously capable hands of General Jay and Mollie Raymond.  Their leadership will bring unbelievable ingenuity to bear and launch this command to new heights. Please take care of General Raymond and his family with the same level of energy and enthusiasm you have shown Laura and me.

And finally, know this is not a goodbye, as I look forward to working with you again in leading our warfighting efforts in, through and from space and cyberspace, as the commander of USSTRATCOM.

God Speed,
John & Laura Hyten
