AFRC commander sends holiday season greetings to Citizen Airmen Published Dec. 2, 2013 By Lt. Gen. James F. Jackson Commander, Air Force Reserve Command WASHINGTON -- As we finish this year and look forward to the next, I want to thank you for your outstanding commitment and professionalism. You and your fellow Citizen Airmen clearly displayed a "service before self" attitude. From sequestration to the government shutdown, the budget challenges were numerous. I appreciate your dedication to the mission, the Air Force and our country during this time. The Air Force Reserve has much to be proud of this year. From serving in Afghanistan, fighting wildfires in Colorado and performing operations here at home, you answered our nation's call. Every day, in air, space and cyberspace, you contributed greatly to our nation's defense and the Air Force's ability to fly, fight and win. When you celebrate this holiday season, please spend time with and appreciate what matters most - your family and your friends. Refresh and recharge. Be a good wingman by looking out for one another and reaching out to those who may need help. Lastly, be safe. Each and every one of you is an important member of our Air Force Reserve family. You are our most valued resource. Whether you are at home or deployed, Barb and I send our warmest greetings to you and your family. On behalf of the entire Air Force Reserve family, we wish you all the very best in 2014.
