Reservists support annual DMSP exercise
Air Force Reserve Maj. Carleen Trunkhill, 6th Space Operations Squadron Chief of standardization and evaluation, Capt. Shawn Marcello, 6th SOPS satellite systems operator, and Julian Dashield, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration engineer, perform a satellite contact to retrieve environmental monitoring data for delivery to the Air Force Weather Agency and Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center during an annual Continuity of Operations Plan at Schriever AFB, Colo. The COOP exercise provides military and civilian operators a chance to exchange new ideas, techniques and procedures, and enhance operations at facilities in Suitland, Md., and Schriever AFB.
