Monitoring their progress
Air Force Reservists Tech. Sgt. Earl W. Tubbs, Lt. Col. Mark C. Ryals and Maj. Gregory J. Castro monitor their students land navigation progress as they head to the next coordinate, or “way point”, March 14, 2014 at Ute Valley Park in Colorado Springs, Colo. The students participated in a GPS exercise that was part of the Space Operations Course, a two-week space fundamentals course for military and civilian non-space personnel, taught by the Reserve National Security Space Institute (RNSSI). Tubbs is assigned to RNSSI at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. and is the organization’s scheduling manager. Ryals is one of the organization’s instructors and Castro is the chief of the instructor development branch. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Nicholas B. Ontiveros
