Thule Air Base coordinates ship rescue, saves 6
The Air Force’s only tugboat, “Rising Star,” saves six lives as Thule Air Base, Greenland, coordinates a rescue at sea Monday, Aug. 3. In a mission that ultimately took nine hours due to rough seas, Casper Jensen, Vectrus Services’ civilian operations manager, and his crew aboard the rising star saved the lives of six Greenland nationals aboard a commercial ship that had begun taking on water.
