AF Reserve space squadron assumes control over nation's weather satellites
Air Force Reserve Senior Airman Anne-Marie Mandrell, 6th Space Operations Squadron, reviews the day's coding instructions for a weather satellite April 3, 2014 at Schriever Air Force Base, Colo. The squadron's satellite vehicle operators assumed command of the nation's Defense Meteorological Satellite Program weather satellites from their National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration counterparts as the nation's newest weather satellite lifted into orbit aboard an Atlas V rocket at Vandenberg AFB, Calif.
